Description
Gabriel left the pack when she caught her fiance screwing another woman right in front of her eyes. The only reason she came back is to visit her father who was already fatally sick. She was welcomed by Alpha who showed her nothing but kindness and respect. Little did she know that just like everyone she knows, he's gonna betray her too in the most painful way she could imagine. "Marry me, Gabriel." "Our you f*cking out of your mind??? Why would I marry a devil like you? After what you just did to me?!" "Because if you don't marry me, I'm gonna have to kill you too."

Gabriel’s POV:
For the first time ever in my 23 years of life, I will confess my feelings to a man. And I am too nervous to even breathe!
Being born as an omega, the day I realized Zordan was my fated alpha, I get a fluttering feeling in my gut whenever he smiles at me. I had always imagined spending my life with such a kind, generous alpha but never realized, it would be the Crown Prince himself!
Even though I was pushed to the edge of running away from my pack after I took the brave decision of breaking off my engagement with Marcus, I had given up on the hope of ever finding true love again in this life.
But, I guess, fate was on my side.
Zordan accepted me in this pack wholeheartedly again. Not only is he doing his best to take care of my father in his final stage of life, but also as the daughter of the Chief Advisor of this kingdom, he has always treated me with equal kindness and respect.
After all this, why shouldn’t a maiden’s heart surrender to such a perfect man of her dreams? Also, I can’t help but feel Zordan also carries a soft corner for me in his heart. So I guess, this will be a happy ending this time?
I took the bouquet from her arm and asked the maid with a shy smile, “Have you seen Alpha Zordan around here?”
“Umm, pardon me, Milady. But, I have only seen the Crown Prince entering your father’s chamber this morning.” She timidly answered me.
Oh, so he went to check on my father’s health again! A wide smile beamed on my face as I embraced the bouquet close to my chest. The way he cares for my father makes me feel happier as a daughter. I am glad to know, even in his last stage of life, my father is being showered with such kindness and concern from the Crown Prince himself.
So, I guess it’s only fair if I confess my feelings to him in front of my father. He should also see the man I want to spend the rest of my life with…
It was around a sunny afternoon, with a mild spring breeze wafting in the atmosphere. Nature was calm and tranquil, as soft chirping noises of birds echoed around. While walking through the giant hallway, I stared at those beautiful cherry trees in full bloom, standing tall around the castle yard.
As far as I have observed, Zordan also loves to watch falling cherry petals being drifted by the wind. Then, shall I just confess outside being surrounded by these pink cherry blossoms?
Just when I was mingled with thoughts in my mind, I reached my father’s room sooner than expected. Palpitated nervous feelings were fluttering my stomach though I took a few breaths to calm myself down.
Even though it’s the first time for me, was confessing feelings to someone have been always this tough?
The moment I reached his room, I found the giant door left partially open. I was a little startled to see there weren’t any guards outside the room which was a rare sight inside the royal castle. I glanced around to see the hallway was really empty without a trace of any other pack member.
Holding the bouquet tight in my arm, I exhaled another nervous sigh to see if Zordan had already left the room. I slowly tapped the door to open it wide as I tried to walk inside.
STAB!
“KEUGHH!!”
The moment I was about to take a step inside, a horrific sight ahead froze me to death!
Right before my eyes, I saw both of them standing face to face, but Zordan had stabbed a large silver sword straight into my father’s chest! His painful moan reverberated inside the room along with a gush of blood that stained the floor. My father had turned pale and in the blink of a second his giant body collapsed down on the ground the moment Zordan withdrew his sword back from his chest.
In the blink of an eye, I saw my happiness distorted into misery! Before me, I couldn’t see the same Zordan I have seen until now who always had a kind, warm smile on his face. But a cold, aloof giant young man with a gruesome look in his dark eyes as he watched my father slowly turn into a lifeless body. Moreover, his porcelain white face was smeared with blood droplets as a result of that stab, making him too dreadful to look at!
For a second, I refused to believe if it was an actual reality or just a terrible nightmare I was dwelling in! My legs shivered, making my posture too wobbly to stand still. The bouquet of red roses dropped down from my arms, making a faint noise.
But the moment Zordan heard the noise at that doorstep, he lifted up his scary dark eyes from my father’s blood-soaked body and laid his gaze on me. Consumed in shock, fear, and agony, tears swelled in my ocean eyes as I couldn’t avert my gaze away from him too! It felt as if time had stopped at that moment!
Was this the same person I fell in love with standing in front of me?
The same person who always greeted me with his warm smile but now with horrific darkness on his face! His big onyx eyes were glowing in the dark room with a vicious look prominent in them. He seemed like a monster who had begun hunting his prey without mercy!
“Gabriel…?” In a cold, hefty voice he called my name, wiping the blood drops from his cheek with the tip of his thumb, “Why are you here?”
The way he calmly called my name led shivers to run down my spine! It was a voice drastically different from the warmth I usually sought in him all this time. I had wished for a happy ending this time…but who knew, another painful betrayal worse than death awaiting for me?
